FDA Approves Yale University School of Public Health Saliva Test
The FDA has approved the Yale University School of Public Health "spit test." This is a quick saliva test. Spit into a tube and 5 minutes later a result is shown. It has 90%-95% accuracy. About the same as the nasal swab test. The NBA, MLB and major league soccer have been using this test on thousands of players and staff. This is the kind of test that could be rolled out as a home kit the world over. -
Moderna Vaccine Produced Antibodies in All Patients Tested
Some good news to cheer about as reported by Bloomberg News on the Moderna Vaccine.
But all 42 people who got both scheduled doses of the vaccine generated antibodies capable of neutralizing the coronavirus, according to the study results. The final stage trial will compare the vaccine to placebo shots in 30,000 healthy people at high risk of coming down with the coronavirus.
